Pony Up To The Pony Bars |
Another alluring aspect of the Ponys are the extended hours. On weekdays, each Pony Bar is open from 3 PM to 4 AM; Saturday and Sunday hours are from Noon to 4 AM. That ensures plenty of time to savor a cider or stout.
The clientele is as diverse as the composition of the city. Be peaceable and pleasant and able to pay your bill, and you’ll fit right in.
The Hell’s Kitchen spot is too far west to become a tourist warm spot, let alone a hot one. The Upper East Side location isn’t near any tourist magnet. If you live or work near the Broadway theaters, the 9/11 Memorial, or any TV series’ bus tour of the city, then the escape can be a great relief. If you’re visiting the city, then the Pony Bars are places to escape the normal tourist routes and hang out where locals do. If you’re fond of craft brews or curious about what’s causing the malted buzz, then the Pony Bars are simply good destinations.
