Roof at Park South (125 East 27th St., 212-204-5222)
Having seen the Roof at Park South in its various stages of readiness from a friend’s higher up balcony across the street, we watched its debut with some level of vicarious excitement from above as the fireplaces lit up and the bar filled with a row of alcohol that we would find to be comprehensive and seamless as cocktail bases. The lounge boasts a bar led by established bar tender Ted Kilpatrick, who created a drink menu appropriate for outdoor summer drinking.
