Where to Find Late Night Happy Hours in New York City
Keybar
Probably the smallest bar in the city that somehow manages to fit a DJ booth, lounge, and a fireplace, Keybar in the East Village is quaint as it is intimate, and warm as it is welcoming. With a pretty awesome 2 for 1 drink special happy hour that runs until 10 PM on most nights, Keybar lets the party simmer on Sundays and Mondays, letting that happy hour extend until close (meaning 4 AM). The Jeffrey
Tucked away right under the 59th Street Bridge on the Upper East Side is one of the best craft beer bars in the city. While normally their draft selections will run you eight dollars a pint, get in on their late night happy hour Sundays through Thursdays from 11 PM to 1 AM for some serious discounts. Late night happy hour includes $8 glasses of wine, $5 well drinks, and those specialty craft beers will only cost you $5 a pop. (311 E 60th St.; 212-355-2337)
Soft Spot
Located on Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg for over a decade, Soft Spot are seasoned veterans when it comes to slinging booze at low cost. Having a regular happy hour running to 8 PM which offers a beer and a shot for $5 and a pint of margarita for only $7, their late night happy hour only offer is only on Tuesdays, runs until 2 AM, and will get you a 2-for-1 beer or well drink deal. Kingsley
Over in the East Village, the “Best Newcomer American Restaurant” (named so by Zagat) also has a fantastic late night happy hour for industry. Any night of the week except for Monday, the deal runs from 11 PM to close. $4 drafts are available as well as $5 beer and shift specials with $8 glasses of wine. (190 Avenue B; 212-674-4500)
Metropolitan
Over in Williamsburg, this bar with a backyard that is no stranger to summer time cookouts has skee ball, live DJs, Karaoke, and drag shows on most nights. The fun really begins at 10 PM Sunday through Thursday nights — that’s when PBR go for $3, beer and shots go for $5, draft beers are $4, and well drinks are $5. (559 Lorimer St.; 718-599-4444)
Hill Country
Hill Country has a couple locations in New York and they serve some of the best Texas BBQ outside of the Lone Star State. However. the Hill Country Chelsea location has a renowned late night happy hour from 10 PM to close offered every night of the week.
