Hold Onto Your Eggos: Chicago Now Has a 'Stranger Things' Pop Up Bar
Grab your compasses and head to The Upside Down, a Stranger Things themed pop up bar in Chicago situated in Emporium, Milwaukee Avenue's arcade and bar.
The bar is decorated as homage the spooky Netflix series and its 80s vibe. Photos of the bar interrior collected by Cosmopolitan include perfect photo op pieces like Castle Byers and a string of twinkling lights and the alphabet that Joyce used to communicate with Will. There’s even a mural of Eleven, a slushie called “Eleven’s Eggos,” and an Upside Down shot machine customized by Jägermeister with Barb’s face on it.
A statement from the pop up bar’s site read, “There will be show-inspired adult beverages, artwork & design installations from local artists & designers, & occassional musical performances from some very special mystery guests.”
The thrilling bar will tentatively be open until the end of September Wednesday through Friday. Seems like the perfect place to hide from the Demogorgon.
