Where to Watch Super Bowl LI in New York City

by Kerry Jepsen on Jan 31, 2017 in Roundups

The Super Bowl may as well be a national holiday - the big game comes with its own set of traditions and culture, most of which include chicken wings and cold beer. We here at Drink NYC have compiled the best restaurants and bars who seek to honor these traditions with staple game day snacks and plenty of drink specials.

Beauty and Essex
While the Super Bowl doesn’t exactly bring to mind high-end cocktails, it will now. This hip bar and lounge offers a pre-game cocktail hour right before kickoff, including complimentary shots of Jagermeister, Maker’s Mark, and Stella Artois based cocktail concoctions. Once the game kicks off, indulge in an onslaught of football game essentials, including pulled pork sliders and wings. (146 Essex St.; 212-614-0146)

NiteHawk Cinema
There’s no better way way to watch all the action than on a big screen - and we mean a really big screen. Nitehawk cinema features seat-side service, which means snacks and drink specials tailored to each team will be served to you as you kick back and watch the Super Bowl. Make sure to purchase a $30 food and drink voucher before hand to secure your reservation for game day.  (136 Metropolitan Ave., Brooklyn; 718-782-8370)

Lillie’s Victorian Establishment
This comfortable pub with a Victorian Era vibe is getting a full on American makeover this Sunday for what might as well be considered a National Holiday. Cocktail director Johnny Swet is delivering two team spirited beverages for the game: “The Falcon,” featuring Tito’s Vodka, pomegranate liqueur, lime and agave, and “The Patriot” with Bulleit Rye, maple, cranberry, and bitters. (13 E 17th St.; 212-337-1970)

PH-D Rooftop Lounge
This vibrant lounge club is hosting its very own Super Bowl party at its downtown penthouse location. With TVs strewn across the room delivering HD game action it’s the best way to soak up all the action and get a little funky while doing it. Don’t miss out! They’re also including specialty cocktails and bites that taste as sweet as victory. (Dream Downtown, 355 W 16th St.; 212-229-2511)

Clinton Hall
This Financial District beer haven will also play host to the the Super Bowl action this Sunday. While general admittance is, of course, free of charge, a package deal starting at $55 will give you a totally open bar during the game. Clinton Hall’s standard menu featuring burgers, wings, and other game time classics will be readily available. (90 Washington St.; 212-363-6000)

Printer’s Ally
This newly opened Nashville-inspired sports bar and restaurant is truly setting the stage for what will be a a great game. With 21 big screen TVs, there’s no way you’ll miss a second of the game. Game day bites include the staples, and the best part will be the drink deals: $20 domestic beer pitchers, $25 domestic beer buckets, and $6 well drinks will definitely get you ready for some football. (215 W 40th St.; 212-419-2770)
