Check Out These Upcoming Winter Food & Drink Events in New York City
New York City is a great hub of international culture and celebration, so here at Drink NYC, we’ve rounded up some of New York’s best upcoming festivals and events to celebrate our culture - drink culture, that is.
Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Fest
This nationwide event is making a stop in New York City on January 28 this year. This one-day-only event is bringing over 60 microbrews available on draft, over 40 barrel-aged bourbons, and indulgent BBQ to boot. Featuring live blues music and a special cigar tent, this event has basically all anyone would want. (608 W 28th St.)
Drunk Shakespeare
For those who like a bit of theatrics with your drink, head to the show critics have called “the best thing to happen to the theater” which is also a New York Times Top Critic Pick. One actor consumes five shots of whiskey and then recites a Shakespearean play, and it definitely gets hilarious quickly. During the performancem drinks are available from a mysterious bartender serving drinks atop a 10-foot tall bookcase. (300 W 43rd St.; 914-713-7865)
Hops & Props Craft Beer Festival
At the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, New York is another very special beer festival. With literally every style of suds imaginable on hand and ready for consumption, there is no reason not to go, and with plenty of greasy food available to keep your pace up, the Hops & Props Craft Beer Festival has you all taken care of. (Charles Lindbergh Blvd., Garden City; 516-572-4111)
Independent Spirits Expo
While it is still early to pin down specific dates (although it will be held in March 2017) and locationm this is definitely an event to plan ahead for. Featuring only artisanal, craft, and quality spirits, this expo is a great event to expand your palate and portfolio for the new year.
NYC Craft Distillers Festival
Offering the best of New York State craft breweries and distilleries, the NYC Craft Distillers Festival is taking place March 25, 2017 at the Bowery Hotel.
