Linebacker DeMarcus Ware Gives Rare Whisky to Denver Bronco Teammates After Super Bowl Victory
It’s only been a short time since the Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50, but the team has received many special gifts for winning the big game. However, one gift is truly unique. Linebacker (and future Hall of Famer) DeMarcus Ware will present all of his teammates with a special gift, a bottle of extremely rare Crown Royal XR whisky.
These bottles of whisky are only available in limited quantities from the famed LaSalle Distillery in Montreal, which no longer produces whisky. Each purple bottle bag is embroidered with gold thread that says “50, San Francisco, 02.07.2016, World Champions." Ware posted the gift announcement on Instragram on Monday, February 8.
“We worked incredibly hard this season, so I wanted to give my teammates something to honor the fact that we’re the best in the world,” said Ware. “Since we took the Crown and are officially Champs, I’m giving everyone on the team a bottle of Crown Royal XR, an extra rare whisky, that has been specially embroidered to commemorate our championship. I can’t wait to take the time to enjoy this moment by toasting the best whisky with the best teammates; it really doesn’t get any better than this!”
The taste of victory sure is special indeed.
