Great Odin's Raven! A Will Ferrell-Themed Bar Opens in New York
Zach Neil and Brian Link, two giant Ferrell fans, officially opened the doors at 171 Rivington Street on October 1, but its real launch party will take place next week on October 23, complete with a Ferrell-tastic Halloween party. The night of the 23rd will focus exclusively on Anchorman, with a Ron Burgundy costume contest, and a Talladega Nights-themed evening will follow on October 30. On either night, dress as the favorite Ferrell character of the party (Burgundy and Ricky Bobby, respectively), and get your first drink free.
The bar is decorated from floor to ceiling in Ferrell memorabilia, including movie posters and quotes, and features a cocktail bar with drinks like the “Smelly Pirate Hooker,” the “Mugatu Mule,” and, of course, “The F*cking Catalina Wine Mixer.” Stop by any time, but be sure to make an appearance at their two upcoming events -- in your finest Ferrell getup, of course -- and in the meantime, check out tons of photos at Gothamist.
