Brooklyn Brewery Mash Brings Beer, Food & Art to 11 Cities in 2013
Brooklyn Brewery, one of the pioneers of the current craft beer movement, is taking the show on the road. From March–December 2013, the Brooklyn Brewery Mash will travel to 11 different U.S. cities for multi-day festivals celebrating film, music, books, parties, comedy, food and — of course — beer. Each event is a fundraiser for Slow Food USA, with all ticket sales going to the local chapter of the nonprofit.
Everything kicks off in Austin at SxSW Interactive, as the New York brewery and friends head to Texas from March 4–10. After that the tour visits New Orleans, Nashville, Boston and then lands in Baltimore May 2–5. Summer continues with the Twin Cities and then D.C. at the start of fall, from September 19–22.
The tail end swings through Chicago, Pittsburgh and then Philadelphia from November 7–10, where the event will be held in collaboration with a special edition of food truck festival the Vendy Awards. The tour ends in Miami in December. No details are available for the later cities on the schedule, but mark the dates down in your calendar, because this “mash”-up of beer and culture is sure to be a good time.
