Get Yourself an Edible Escape Without Leaving Manhattan, October 22
Edible Manhattan is a bi-monthly food magazine, covering news about local foods, food culture, restaurants, beauty and passion of the wine, variety of healthy recipes, drinks and food markets. In addition to hosting events year-round, the upcoming third annual Edible Escape tasting event offers New Yorkers the chance to give their palates an escape from local eateries and enjoy international cuisine, without ever leaving the island of Manhattan.
Edible Escape will take place 6–9 PM, Tuesday, October 22, at the Angel Orensanz Foundation (172 Norfolk St.; 212-529-7194). Upon entry guests will be given an Electria 12.75-ounce glass, provided by Bormoli, which they will be able to take home after the event. Attendees will nibble and sip on various dishes and drinks from around the world, sampling fare from such countries as Spain, Austria, Italy and more. Edible communities from all over the country will also be represented including Edible Austin, Edible Green Mountains, Edible Hudson Valley, Edible Brooklyn, Edible Long Island and more. The event is designed to highlight both national and international travel destinations through food, drink and more.
