Move Over Cat Cafes, London is Getting an Owl Bar

London is getting a pop-up owl bar at an undisclosed location in SoHo, London next month. For the week of March 19–25, Annie the Owl will feature cocktails and quality time with some feathered friends.

£20 gets you in the door, two cocktails and two hours of owl amusement. As if sipping on cocktails and playing with owls wasn’t cool enough already, all profits benefit The Barn Owl Centre in Gloucestershire and its further conservation efforts. Over 58,000 people have already signed up for random ballot entry into the bar, which will be open from 8:30 PM–2 AM daily that week.

A sample cocktail list has been released and features the “Owl-Presso Martini” and the “Annie Collins.” Some of London’s best mixologists will be at the bar whipping up more owl-themed drinks.

Trained falconers will be there to supervise the six confirmed birds for the event. The owls include the infamous Annie, “the queen who leads them all,” Cinders, who is “very diplomatic and is the one to go to when it comes to tribal issues,” and Hootie, “the finalist in the World Owl Beauty Pageant.” For more owl info, check out annietheowl.com.
