GBD Fried Chicken and Donut Pop-Up at Birch & Barley, February 15, 22

We’re more than a little excited for GBD, the new fried chicken and donut restaurant coming to Dupont Circle later this year, and next week you’ll get a chance to try a preview of the goods. In addition to the golden and brown deliciousness that makes up the name, the spot — from Birch & Barley chef Kyle Bailey and pastry chef Tiffany MacIsaac — will also feature a killer craft beer list from B&B and ChurchKey brew maestro Greg Engert, plus a selection of unique punches and cocktails.

Two pop-up tasting events are scheduled to take place at Birch & Barley on February 15 and 22, both Fridays. From 11 AM until sellout, Bailey and MacIssac will be selling the “Fried Chicken Lunch Box” for $8 and also fourpacks of donuts, also $8.

Though we won’t get an opportunity to taste the spirited side of the operation at these pop-ups, drinkers can look forward to the liquor-inspired donut flavors on offer, including Boozy Butterscotch & Bacon and Grapefruit-Campari Old Fashioned. Can we say yum a few thousand times?
