Kopstootje Launch Party

What: Stillwater Artisanal Ales and  Bols Genever cocktails

Inspired by the Dutch tradition of combining a shot of the country’s national spirit with a beer, Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal Ales will be on hand at this Adams Morgan dining saloon to introduce the “kopstootje,” his take on a “deconstructed genever,” this one brewed with barley, corn, wheat, rye, spices and juniper berries. Five Stillwater brews will also be featured for the night, and Jack Rose’s own mixologist Rachel Sergi will whip up a genever cocktail of her own.

Smith Hour

This Atlas District public house is nominated in four categories of our Drinker’s Choice Awards – sample the goods and decide for yourself (and don’t forget to cast your ballot by March 6!) on the cheap. During Smith Hour on the second floor, you can enjoy select beer, wine, cocktails and food for just $5.

8th Annual Brewer’s Ball

Hand-crafted beers, food and entertainment to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Where:Nationals Park, the Stars and Stripes Club
When: Saturday, March 3, 7 PM–midnight
Price: $115

You’ll feel the local love at this gala, where you can taste more than a dozen locally crafted microbrews from the likes of Chocolate City, DC Brau, Heavy Seas, and Flying Dog while grooving to tunes by a band called – what else? – The Congress. Pair it all with bites from Hank’s Oyster Bar, Granville Moore’s and other beloved local eateries.

Sunday, March 4

Flamenco Night

What: Flamenco-rumba performance and Spanish wine specials
When: Sunday, March 4, 8 PM -- 11 PM
Where: Vinoteca (1940 11th St. NW)
Price: PAYG

Enjoy every last second of that much-deserved weekend with half-price bottles of Spanish, Portugese and South American wine while you take in a free Flamenco dance performance accompanied by live guitar. With the slashed price available by the taste or glass, too, there’s no excuse not to indulge during the last moments of Sunday Funday.
