The Best March Madness 2017 Specials in New York City

The Ides of March have come and gone, but in their wake lays total madness — the kind of crazy we can all get behind. The games are on, and for college basketball fanatics, that means it’s time to rage. There’s no better way to soak up all the action than by soaking up a couple of pints along the way. We’ve collected some of NYC best spots to watch the games,

The Grayson
Perhaps the greatest sports bar in New York City, The Grayson finds its home in the East Village, but you may find your home inside its doors. With 44 television screens ranging in size with the games on there’s no possible way to miss the action. While bar specials have not yet been announced, last year patrons had access to buckets of beers with six shots of Fireball, and even mini kegs. (16 1st Ave.; 212-510-8726)

sideBAR
In the heart of Union Square, sideBAR is offering up a special March Madness deal which is so good that it’s frankly just mad. Aside from all their big screens being devoted to the games, patrons can opt for their a cooler of beer containing 24 beers for $120 (that’s five bucks a brew, people) and if your team is on fire, why not ante up and throw in a bottle of fireball for an extra $100? The aforementioned deal is best done with friends, so bring the whole gang to sideBAR. (118 E 15th St.; 212-677-2900)

Atwood Kitchen & Bar Room
March Madness tends to incite a certain carnal hunger in all of us, and for those who need to a fix for that peckish feeling, Atwood has got the grub and the other goods too. Delicious savory bites with a refined factor will lead to specially cocktails created by Milk and Honey alum Gil Bouhana. However don’t be afraid to get a little rowdy and indulge on those bar specials, which include $15 pitchers of Bud Lite, $25 buckets of Bud Lite, and Stella Artois and various shot combos to go with. (986 2nd Ave.; 212-371-2233)

Printer’s Alley
Yet another NYC sports bar staple added to the mix, Printer’s Alley is really going all out for March Madness. Not only have they extended their normal hours of operation just for the games, but they have deals on almost all their drinks, from $24 pitchers of beer to whiskey shots for $6 to frozen drinks for $8 and well drinks for only $6. If you shoot, you’ll definitely score at Printer’s Alley. (215 W 40th St.; 212-419-2770)

American Whiskey
For the whiskey enthusiast, there’s American Whiskey, and for the March Madness enthusiast, there’s American Whiskey. The three floors contain 36 flat screen TV’s for your college basketball viewing pleasure so you can go upstairs and downstairs without missing a beat. There’s more than enough whiskey from all over the world to go around, but if slugging back a couple brews is more your style, you’re in luck, with $4 Bud Lites available and $8 specialty cocktails to boot. (247 W 30th St.; 212-967-1070)

Bounce Sporting Club
30 HDTVs line the walls of this lavish (not to mention spacious) sports lounge tucked away in Flatiron. Bounce is for the sport’s lover who loves participating in as much action as the athletes. Be sure to try one of the two $10 speciality cocktails being offered - The Bracket featuring Mount Gay Black Barrel, pineapple, orange and mange, or The Game Winner, made with Campari, Cutty Sark Prohibition, and Luxardo. (55 W 21st St.; 212-675-8007)
